2012 IR Society Annual Conference

The IR Society Annual Conference, now in its 26th year, is firmly established as an integral event in the IR calendar and will take place on Tuesday 22 May 2012.

Competition for capital is intense. Effective investor relations is a key differentiator. The 2012 conference, entitled ‘Competition for Capital’, will examine the rapidly changing and often volatile international funding environment: the sources of capital; the investors, their concerns and expectations; and the implications for companies and their IROs.

The themes of the conference sessions include:

 • The shifting flows of capital in the global market.
 • Attracting and managing equity - maintaining capital and raising new funds in volatile markets.
 • The changing debt markets - who are the players, how do corporates tap into it?
 • The acceptable face of capitalism - the impact of social unrest on the way in which investors assess companies.
 • Corporate reputation, board composition and the competition for capital.
