Shareholders or stakeholders - who are most important?

The thorny issue of companies' wider stakeholder responsibilities will be debated at the 25th Investor Relations Society annual conference to be held on Tuesday 24th May at Kings Place, London.

Speaking in advance of the conference, Chairman of the Investor Relations Society, Richard Davies, said:
‘Companies are facing increasing demands for information from a diverse range of stakeholders. How we prioritise them and reconcile their needs with those of shareholders is a major issue for investor relations professionals. We have assembled a formidable list of speakers who will address these and other topical issues during the conference'

Speakers at the conference will include Carolyn McCall, CEO easyJet, Sir Roger Carr, Chairman, Centrica and Chairman elect, CBI and Andrew Shilston, CFO Rolls Royce.
