Our speakers are experts in their field and bring a wealth of practical experience to each of our courses. The Society works with them closely throughout the year to ensure the course content is regularly updated and refreshed.
Brian Donnelly
Brian has worked for several financial institutions during his 30+ years in the City, with debt and external relationship management almost always at the forefront of his responsibilities. His experience at Barclays, Singer & Friedlander and Kaupthing have stood him in good stead for his current role as founder and MD of BJD Consulting Services Ltd, a company which offers independent advice to financial institutions and corporates on, inter alia, the raising of debt and debt IR.
Mark Fritz
Mark brings the experience of an international business career with Eastman Kodak Company to Procedor, having lived and worked across the world (in the USA, Singapore, Egypt, Italy, the Netherlands, Japan and the UK). He has worked internationally for over 25 years, and provides business culture coaching to executives who are moving between the USA and the UK, as well to those executives who will be leading Pan-European Organisations.
Mark Hynes
Mark Hynes has 25 years’ experience in the financial news and information sector. He started his career as an investment banker, joined the Economist and subsequently was appointed a Board Director of the Financial Times, spending 18 years in continental Europe, the US and Asia. He then joined PR Newswire, where he continues to consult. Mark provides highly specialised assistance to listed companies and those supporting them, with consultancy and education in regulatory disclosure, best practice corporate communications and investor relations strategies.
Paul Meadows
Paul spent 16 years on the buy-side, initially in the in-house Asset Management operations of Royal Insurance and Trygg Hansa, before switching over to the high net worth private client industry with Lloyds Private Banking and Bank of Butterfield, advising on asset allocation and stock selection. In 2000 Paul moved into the training industry full-time with DC Gardner Training, taking responsibility for managing their Investment Management and Private Banking business stream worldwide. In 2004 he set up Chadley House Training Limited.
Deborah Morton-Dare
Deborah specialises in financial training for all levels from beginners to advanced. She presents a comprehensive range of courses to a diverse range of corporate clients and financial institutions and specialises in making complex technical subjects comprehensible. Deborah qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Arthur Young and then worked in Corporate Finance gaining wide ranging experience in a variety of corporate and financial institutions. She then worked as a financial consultant to companies assisting them in raising finance and restructuring.
Emma Palmer Foster
Emma Palmer Foster has over 15 years’ experience in the European healthcare sector, via roles in journalism, technology transfer, public relations, investor relations and investment banking. This includes roles in healthcare banking, both as a life sciences sell-side equities analyst and in corporate finance. Emma has also used her strategy and communications skills in public relations and investor relations activities. She has an MA in Biochemistry from the University of Oxford, and an MBA from the University of Durham Business School.
Virginia Phillips
Virginia’s experience ranges from advising Finance Directors on presenting their company results to the City, to helping clients motivate an audience of reticent employees. Virginia graduated from the University of Manchester with a BA (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering, and worked in the chemical industry for six years. She was recruited to BBC News in 2001, working on business stories for the Today programme and 5 live Money. At the BBC, Virginia learned the art and science of great communication – how to craft compelling stories on complex subjects. Since 2007 Virginia has worked with clients to enhance their impact, improve their content and develop their style when presenting.
Marcia Tucker
Marcia has trained in a variety of business sectors including travel and hotel, local government, customer service and the banking industry. Marcia worked as a professional actor for many years, in TV, radio and theatre, having trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Her acting skills have greatly enhanced her delivery style as a trainer. Marcia has a CertEd, from the University of Greenwich and she is an NLP practitioner, a qualified hypnotherapist and coach. As well as running training courses Marcia is also a qualified NVQ assessor in Customer Service, Business Administration and Team leading.
